Webinar of the CSP Sisterhood

The optimisation of CSP, heat storage systems, generation of electricity and application for biomass pyrolysis is investigated in several Horizon Europe projects with which PYSOLO forms a Sisterhood. The four projects will join forces to push the uptake of CSP-technologies in the EU. The first joint activity by this sisterhood will be a webinar entitled “Facing high-temperature CSP for energy applications”. This webinar is scheduled for Wednesday, January 30th, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM (CET).

Marco Binotti, the coordinator of PYSOLO, will be one of the speakers.

PYSOLO at SolarPACES (8-11 October 2024) – Update

Project coordinator Marco Binotti (POLIMI) had a great time in Rome, Italy. At the conference on concentrated solar thermal technology, he presented PYSOLO project’s approach and latest findings and got the chance to expand networks.

Consortium partner CSIC produced a video to show the part of the PYSOLO project, they are working on: the pyrolysis reactor. Get real impressions of the reactor and learn more about its functionality. Knowledge of Spanish is advantageous.

PYSOLO joined Sisterhood Community

Together we are stronger: PYSOLO is now part of a Sisterhood community with several Horizon Europe projects on similar topics revolving around Concentrated Solar Power. This sisterhood aims at fostering synergies, developing a joined stakeholders’ network, organising joined activities and at enhancing collaboration among its members through various initiatives.

What is the best particle heat carrier (PHC) for solar-driven biomass pyrolysis?

PYSOLO project partner DLR just started the characterisation campaign to identify the best particle heat carrier for biomass pyrolysis. Four materials have been chosen among several. Further tests will be carried out. Curious? Results will be shared soon.
